As a professional educator, you will be the face of Swee Lee Music Academy and shall work closely with our team to provide professional and reliable services at all times. You will provide quality lessons on playing musical instruments to students (adults and children) in Swee Lee Music Academy.

Responsibilities:

  • Music Instructor on freelance arrangement and commission-based.
  • Planning and preparing lessons in relation to individual pupils' needs and examination syllabuses (Trinity College of London Rock & Pop, Rockschool, etc).
  • Teaching music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to students.
  • Assessing students’ abilities, providing feedback to parents, so as to ensure good and constant progress.
  • Ensuring you have up-to-date knowledge and awareness of examination requirements
  • Daily management of your own lesson schedule, and follow up with the academy administrator to ensure that all class and student information are accurate and all payments are up-to-date.
  • Forward all feedback and complaints to the Music Academy Director, Store Branch Manager and Academy Administrator to work together to resolve any issues and ensure that students and parents are satisfied with the service rendered.

  • A strong sense of responsibility and taking pride in going the extra mile
  • Ability to motivate others and enthusiasm in sharing knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to work as a team and with parents
  • Patient, with an eye for details and able to prioritize workload 
  • Punctuality is a must.
  • Ability to use Google Drive applications.
  • Relevant music qualifications and grades, although not essential for becoming a private school music instructor, will be very helpful. Teaching experience will also be beneficial in your application.
  • Work location is at Buona Vista (The Star Vista).
