Job Description
Job Purpose:
Manage the branch's liquidity, according to markets changes. Ensure liquidity is adequate to various departments in the bank. Maintain the foreign currency exposures as per guidelines set by compliances, risk management and regulatory authorities. Initiate and promote business relations with internal and external clients. Proactively engage with other BU with trading and hedging ideas. Forecasting rates & trends to identify and leverage opportunities thereby ensuring maximum profitability for the bank.
Key Accountabilities:
Client Relationship Management
Generate trading revenue within set guidelines and limits. Manage the bank’s balance sheet to ensure all external/ internal regulatory compliance are met. Originate clients to raise funding for the bank. Manage the Branch's exposure in terms of risk generated by FX and Rates, gapping and liquidity. Ensure all dealing trades are executed by applying best practices. Improve and expand funding capabilities for FAB. Monitor and ensure department operations are in line within the approved parameters set by the risk department. Keep abreast of daily financial events, industry news, head office's policies, rules, regulations, directives and guidelines. Ensure all procedures and operation processes are in line with audit, regulatory and compliance parameters. Improve and expand FAB's network in interbank relationship in Asia Pacific. Promote FAB ‘s treasury standing in the financial markets in line with the bank's objectives and goals. Ensure market information is shared with FAB APAC team to keep everyone updated in their respective business units. Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders within the Branch and Head Office to ensure smooth execution. Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned by Manager.Business Development / Client Focus
Work closely with Managing Director Products and Head of Global Markets APAC. Stay abreast of developments across all financial markets as the basis for pro-actively updating all internal stakeholders. Contribute to the development of the Group Treasury trading business through competitive pricing to managing customers’ flows to contribute to APAC treasury revenue over medium or long term.Internal Collaboration
Develop a close working relationship with all departments/ sub-departments including Relationship Managers and Product partners (Debt Markets and Syndications, Islamic Banking, Corporate Finance, etc.) to contribute to cross selling opportunities. Work closely with the Relationship Managers for all Term Sheets required to document transaction details during the sales process and prior to transaction execution. Ensure all Term Sheets contain full disclosure of transactional risks and scenario analysis.Risk management and control
Understand the overall risk profile and ensure that the risks are managed properly. Create a first line of defence environment with an environment of transparency, integrity, a platform of clear communication, escalation and trust. Ensure risk limit is in line with FAB risk appetite and compliance with Group ORM policy framework Identify all material risks, including the risks associated with new or complex products and high risk activities Evaluate regularly the risks, and maintain continued awareness of the business and risk profiles and changes in the operating environment and financial markets that may give rise to emerging risks Set up effective controls to ensure the integrity of business overall risk management process. Any excesses or exceptions risk limit should be reported promptly to the senior management and risk committee for necessary action. Ensure completion and rectification of internal and external audit comments within target dates. Build a risk-based culture with discipline and accountability.Governance and management activities

Ensure completion of HR process for people-related activities, leave planning and learning and development in according to HR policy and guideline
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or relevant disciplines. Minimum 15 years of Treasury experience in similar capacity covering APAC region. Quoting quick and competitive rates to corporate and institutional clients of the branch. Familiar with the regulatory environment concerning financial industry in Singapore / APAC region. Lowering the branch's cost of funds by using Repo's, FX swap and interbank market Managing all foreign currencies cash flows including short and long term borrowing and lending. Reconciling the trading position accounting side (Funding cost). Ability to engage at Senior Management level with Global and Regional peers and stakeholders.Skills:
Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills. Collaborative team player and highly adaptable to the changing needs of internal and external customers. Ability to perform effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines. Customer oriented and always looking out for ways to improve process and services.
