This role focuses on the business and process side of IT Asset Management (ITAM) using ServiceNow. They work with stakeholders to understand IT asset needs, design ITAM workflows, and configure ServiceNow's IT Asset Management (ITAM) modules (Hardware Asset Management Pro & Software Asset Management Pro).
ServiceNow Developer:
This role focuses on the technical development aspects of ServiceNow. They develop custom applications, integrations, scripts, and automations to extend the functionalities of ServiceNow beyond its out-of-the-box capabilities.
ITAM Expertise:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand IT asset management needs and challenges.
Design and implement ITAM processes and workflows within ServiceNow's ITAM modules.
Configure ITAM modules for software license tracking, hardware asset management, and contract management.
Develop reports and dashboards to visualize IT asset data and optimize IT spend.
Development Skills:
Develop custom applications, scripts, and automations using ServiceNow scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) to extend ITAM functionalities.
Integrate ServiceNow ITAM with other modules (e.g., ITSM, CMDB) for a holistic IT service management experience.
Integrate ServiceNow ITAM with external systems (e.g., accounting systems, license management tools) for data exchange and automation.
Additional Skills:
Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITAM architecture, functionalities, and best practices.
Working knowledge of IT asset management principles and methodologies (e.g., ITIL, SAM).
Experience with ServiceNow development best practices and tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Certification:
CIS - Software Asset Management (SAM)
CIS – Hardware Asset Management
CMDB Exposure.
