Job Description:

You shall team up with cross functional stake holders to understand the product development needs.

Identify, initiate, recommend, and oversee programs to design connector and cable assemblies like OSFP-XD, CDFP etc.

Understanding of interconnect standards like IEEE 802.3/ PCIe / InfiniBand will be an advantage

Know of product qualifications following EIA / TIA , MIL, IPC standard will be an advantage

Lead teams to drive NPI projects, to launch new

Establishes network of resources with multiple disciplines, with division & global manufacturing team..

 Builds a working knowledge of key corporate initiatives and applies appropriate tools.

Provides appropriate and timely documentation of work as required by the business unit.

Intellectual Property: Create new intellectual property for new design work to consolidate 3M values for customer.

Demonstrate Can-do attitude.

Work with manufacturing team for tool design and qualification.

Detailed design such as DFMEA, Tolerance analysis, Mechanical and thermal simulation, 2D drawing etc.

Interface with customer to understand VoC

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required and Master's is preferred.

Mechanical engineer with 5+ years of experience.

Responsible for high-speed cable assemblies and connector product design & development for data center application.

Excellent skill in Design Software (For Example: UG / NX, AutoCAD. etc.)

Familiarity with industry standard like IEEE 802.3 / PCIe will an added advantage.

Able to analyze mechanical test methods and conduct tests.

Good English skill in both Oral and Written

Good communication and presentation skill

Knowledge for signal integrity will be added advantage
