Within our network of eldercare centres island-wide, the goal is to provide appropriate and affordable eldercare service to families who are in need of day care for their senior members and relatives. 

We provide a suite of integrated services and programmes which include social day, dementia, nursing and respite care, along with Rehabilitation programmes such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy, wellness programmes and transportation. Through these services we hope to provide the finest service to the elderly in our care.

We are looking for a Chaplain to join the team.

As a Chaplain in SLEC, you will be called upon to uphold, advocate and implement Pastoral Care. In addition, you will be expected to collaborate and work closely with the centre manager and church partners to align and execute programmes for the elderly.

Responsibilities:

To oversee and provide Pastoral Care over assigned centers (may include nursing home) for elders and their families, referred elders in communities and staff.To coordinate with center managers and church partners to align and execute programs.To cultivate and maintain relationships with church partners.Work synergistically with every department to embed pastoral care into organisational ethos.

Job requirements: 

Basic theological degree.Experience in pastoral work with elders preferred.Minimum 3 years pastoral experience.Counselling and Gerontology degree will be an advantage.A strong reference is required.Good communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Competent in English.Spoken Mandarin and local dialects will be an advantage.Track record of leadership and problem solving.Have a sense of digital literacy along with working knowledge of media (music, videography).
