RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Bunker Trader to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving business development and increasing sales with our existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for developing their knowledge, an inquisitive nature, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will provide exceptional service to our clients by preempting their needs and proactively identifying opportunities for mutual business growth.
Key responsibilities:
Actively seek and develop new business opportunities with existing clients to increase sales and market share.Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional service, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions.Continuously seek to expand knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes, market opportunities, and sustainability initiatives.Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.Work closely with the trading team and other departments to ensure seamless operations.Provide regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and client feedback to senior management.PERSON SPECIFICATION (BACKGROUND AND SKILLS):
Essential
Minimum of 5 years of experience in bunker trading or a related field.In-depth understanding of the bunker trading industry, including market dynamics, regulations, and key players.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Inquisitive, proactive, and passionate about continuous learning and development.Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.Beneficial but not required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Maritime studies.#LI-CW1
