Within our network of eldercare centres island-wide, the goal is to provide appropriate and affordable eldercare service to families who are in need of day care for their senior members and relatives. 

We provide a suite of integrated services and programmes which include social day, dementia, nursing and respite care, along with Rehabilitation programmes such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy, wellness programmes and transportation. Through these services we hope to provide the finest service to the elderly in our care.

We are looking for a Master Trainer – Dementia to join the team.

As a Master Trainer-Dementia, you will design and improve dementia care related training resources. You will also be expected to train internal SLEC staff and external members on dementia care, and provide dementia care consultancy services whenever necessary.

Responsibilities:

Develop and design dementia care related training resources.Explore innovative training methodologies in dementia care training.Deliver dementia care training to SLEC staff.Deliver dementia care training externally through SLEC Learning Institute.Mentor and groom SLEC staff in dementia care.Participate as a member of the Research and Innovation Unit for innovation in dementia care.Provide dementia care consultancy services externally where requested and appropriate.Represent SLEC in dementia-related conferences, AIC etc

Job Requirements:

(A) Degree in Nursing recognised by Singapore Nursing Board (SNB), or
(B) Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) Singapore, or
(C) Degree in Social Work, a practitioner with recognised Social Work qualifications acceptable to the Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board (SWAAB).Minimum 15 years of experience in healthcare setting.Possesses clinical knowledge and skills in dementia care and formal teaching skills.Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP), previously known as Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), experience working in a Training & Development environment will be advantageous.Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board or Registered with Allied Health Professions Council Singapore or Registered Social Worker with the Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board.Team leader with strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.Capable of working independently and under time constraints.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
