JOB SCOPE

The Head of Corporate Affairs is responsible for implementing and maintaining Marina Bay Sands’ strategic corporate affairs plan and approach, aimed at enhancing engagement with the Singapore Government and other important external stakeholders. Reporting to Vice President Communications & Corporate Affairs, responsibilities include :

Government liaison, policy analysis and strategic planning

Establish and maintain relationships with government representatives, agencies, trade associations, think tanks and related institutions Monitor and analyze policies, regulations and legislative developments that may impact the business Provide guidance to the organization and recommendations to leadership on policy-related matters Work with Business Units across the Company on high-level operational or regulatory matters, and provide strategic guidance and support in their liaison with government representatives and agencies Oversee stakeholder management programme, including updating of external and internal stakeholder maps

Advocacy and representation

Advocate for the organization’s interests with external stakeholders Co-ordinate Marina Bay Sands’ representation in meetings, conferences, industry events and association meetings which may have relevance to the Company’s corporate affairs strategy Identify key trade groups/associations that the Company may wish to enhance ties with Identify potential areas of collaboration with government agencies and institutions

Communication and reporting

Prepare regular reports on corporate affairs activities and developments, and keep track of strategic government-related matters involving various Business Units Regularly communicate relevant information about policy matters to internal stakeholders and leadership

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree/postgraduate degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law or a related field is preferred Proven experience in government relations, public policy, public affairs or a related role, with a minimum of 10 years of experience Direct experience working in government and/or regulated industries is a plus Strong understanding of government processes, policies and regulations in Singapore Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with government officials and stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
