We are seeking an experienced LSA/FFA Technician to join our client's team. As an LSA/FFA Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of Life-Saving Appliances (LSA) and Fire Fighting Appliances (FFA) on vessels.

Your main duties will include:

  • Conducting routine inspections and testing of LSA/FFA equipment
  • Performing maintenance and repairs on LSA/FFA equipment as necessary
  • Ensuring all equipment is in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Documenting all maintenance and repair work in accordance with company procedures
  • Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new LSA/FFA equipment
  • Providing training and guidance to crew members on proper use and maintenance of LSA/FFA equipment
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations regarding LSA/FFA equipment
  • Collaborating with other members of the marine engineering department to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in marine engineering, with specific experience in LSA/FFA maintenance and repair. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of relevant regulations, and excellent troubleshooting skills are also required.

Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma or Certificate in Marine Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an LSA/FFA Technician or similar role
  • Proficient in conducting inspections and maintenance on LSA/FFA equipment
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as SOLAS and IMO
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
