Deputy Director/Senior Assistant Director

Innovation & Enterprise Group oversees the innovation and enterprise aspect of research capabilities within A*STAR?s research units, and actively promotes translation of intellectual properties.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join the Resource Management, Governance and ProjectsTeam for Innovation & Enterprise Directorate.
You will coordinate initiatives with A*STAR?s management as well as the various clusters in the Enterprise Group and National Research Platforms. In addition, you will interact with other public agencies as well as academia and industry. The role will provide a unique perspective of the strategic priorities of the organisation. We take a deep interest in developing our team and there will be opportunities to grow into new roles within the wider A*STAR community, public sector and even the industry.
You should have a passion and a strong drive for investments in R&D activities deliver good economic and societal outcomes. You are proactive and self-motivated, results-oriented, able to work independently and in a team setting, and possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders and subject matter expertise to develop relevant R&D policies and strategies that are aligned with Singapore?s economic and national agenda Translate strategies to key action plans and funding initiatives (national research platforms) to achieve desired outcomes Present plans and funding initiatives to A*STAR Leadership and external stakeholders for approval Monitor and prepare progress reports of approved proposals to internal and external stakeholders (e.g MTI, EDB, ESG and NRF) Develop Innovation & Enterprise policies / guidelines Rationalise and monitor use of resources Support the leadership on special assignments and projectsJob Requirements
At least 5-8 years of working experience in either grant administration, strategic/corporate planning/finance or relevant roles Excellent team player who is good at problem solving Good organisation acumen, excellent communication / writing skills and interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders Dynamic and self-motivated individual who is a system thinker Meticulous, well-organised, detail-orientedWe have other current jobs related to this field that you can find below
