Job Description

Purpose

Plan, implement and manage daily cloud operation and resources for network/ system applications deployment in multi-cloud environment.  Recommend and improve best practices for cloud service resiliency, operational and cost efficiencies. Work alongside Application/ Platform Teams to design, develop, test, deliver, troubleshoot and maintain cloud infrastructure as part of our growing AIOps platform. Robustly communicate concerns, opinions, and navigate through different levels of stakeholders.


Responsibilities

Plan, design and implement cloud solutions deployed by Application/ Platform Teams on hybrid multi-cloud environment (including private cloud, public cloud, virtualization and container platforms) Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain the cloud infrastructure and resources: Ensure full observability of cloud infrastructure performance to meet high service availability Ensure the applications running on clouds are performing at optimum and secured level at all time Provide technical advice, recommendations and risk assessment to Application/ Platform teams and ensure implementation and monitoring of applications on clouds meet security compliance Provide support to service operation team in cloud observability including identification of performance metric, alarms and events, cloud data ingestion, etc Design and implement standard governance policies in cluster creation, application deployment, monitoring and security control on multi-clouds Optimise the use of cloud resources, improve infrastructure operation and application performance through better use of monitoring tools, automation tools, scripting best practices, and/or any innovative solutions or technologies that facilitate systems integration and management of cloud resources Implement necessary security features on cloud to comply with company security framework, provide early detection, and set up security alerts to mitigate and protect application infrastructure services and application systems against cybersecurity threats Develop and support onboarding process for applications to be deployed on multi cloud and continuously improve operational efficiency Support and participate in systems integrations and CI/CD automation for cloud infrastructure and workflow Prepare and maintain proper documentation for cloud architecture design, onboarding processes, operation procedures, etc Project manage implementation plans including service contract negotiations with vendors/ service providers Work with StarHub Network/ System infrastructure teams, Cloud Service Providers, ISV Partners and System Integrators on automation of infrastructure and migrations across cloud environments Work with cloud service providers to ensure cloud performance and their service deliveries, processes and documentations meet Service Level Agreements (SLA)

Qualifications

At least 3 years of hands-on direct relevant experiences in designing and building both on-premise and hybrid cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code, RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes and Cloud services (XaaS), including governance and security control of multi-cloud environment Solid experiences with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Alibaba Cloud) and cloud-native architecture, RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes Certifications in Cloud technologies (Architecture and/or Networking), container architecture, systems and/or network virtualization Knowledge of telco network such as mobile and fixed network will be advantageous Familiar with cloud networking and security eg load balancer, firewall, security groups, VPC, DNS, DHCP, NAT, etc Demonstrate strong knowledge in technology infrastructure domains such as virtual server technologies, networking, internet protocols, scripting and monitoring tools, including infrastructure automation methodologies and technologies Strong analytical skill, creative and thinking out of the box in problem solving A good team player and able to work effectively at all levels of the organisation to influence others to move towards consensus Passion for software development, automation and new technologies/innovations
