This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 3 days minimum per week in the office.
We are seeking to hire an individual with a few years’ experience to support HarbourVest’s open ended private equity offering. The role is broad in scope and has three key elements to help support the growth of the fund: 1) project management 2) client & product operations support and 3) provide technical expertise. This role would suit someone who either has some level of fund structuring or operations experience within either private markets, open ended funds or private wealth.. Role is based in Singapore.

What you will do:
Supporting the open-ended product operations ensuring fund routines are maintained manufacturing, distribution, and operational servicing (master fund and feeders). Working with sales, product specialist, distribution specialists to help facilitate the onboarding of local distributors, articulating regional requirements with internal partners and ensuring local requirements/practices fit into existing systems/processes Ongoing project management to meet the fund’s needs and objectives. This could include supporting new feeder fund build outs, regional feeder support and helping create connectivity with fund/wealth platforms Client solutioning and providing assistance where necessary to analyze/implement complex commercial or operational arrangements Monitoring and evaluation of market and competitor developments / trends alongside new fintech platforms within a fast-moving market to ensure the product keeps up with market requirements Evaluate regulatory developments to help the fund adapt to local regulatory needs and improvements that allow the fund to grow Supporting budgeting process RFP/Operational Due Diligence (ODD) support Project lead for updates to key fund documentation (e.g., prospectus, investor forms) including compliance with ongoing fund registrations requirements. Management and maintenance of fund data and documentation
What you bring:
Understands the mechanics and inter-dependencies of open-ended funds Strong understanding of private markets Strong written and oral English communication (other language skills nice to have) Execution minded individual with excellent organization skills Broad understanding of fund operations Results oriented with excellent organization and analytical skills Experience of regulated funds a plus Understands the private wealth place including intermediary (distribution), platforms, data vendor relationships Excellent presentation skills Modelling experience a plus Highly proficient with Microsoft, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Education Preferred:
Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or equivalent experience
Experience:
5-8 Years experience in alternative investment, open-ended funds, institutional or private wealth, financial sales and service, or product specialist types of roles (Senior Associate level)#LI-Hybrid
