The palliative care unit in KTPH cares for patients with advance life limiting illnesses across various settings including the emergency department, acute hospital, community hospital and hospice and nursing homes. 

As a Resident Physician / Senior Resident Physician, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing palliative care for patients with advanced life-limiting illnesses. You will be responsible for the management of such patients under the supervision of senior doctors and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include identifying and addressing the needs of palliative care patients and their families, which would include a comprehensive assessment of their physical, psychosocial and spiritual domains of their lives. You will also be given opportunities to participate in educational, quality improvement and research-related activities, along with any other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Job Requirements: Possess a basic or postgraduate medical qualification that is recognized by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) Registered as a medical doctor in the country of conferment of medical qualification and last place(s) of practice Possess at least 3 years of post-graduate medical working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent) Active in clinical practice for at least the past 1 year Provide evidence of English language proficiency and meet the acceptable score specified by the Singapore Medical Council if the candidate’s basic medical qualification is not conducted in English Language
