Duties and Responsibilities

Service Management:

Oversee the delivery of SOCaaS to clients, ensuring high-quality and timely service.Develop and implement procedures for the continuous monitoring of IT security infrastructure.Coordinate with cybersecurity analysts to respond to and mitigate security incidents.

Team Leadership and Development:

Manage and lead the operations team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Ensure team members have the necessary tools and training to effectively monitor and respond to security threats.

Client Relationship Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding operational issues.Understand clients' specific security needs and ensure the SOC services align with their business objectives.Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise with clients.

Operational Excellence:

Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.Oversee the management of security devices and applications, ensuring they are optimized for performance and security.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and SOPs to ensure the platform meets compliance requirements

Incident Management and Response:

Oversee the incident response process, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.Ensure comprehensive incident documentation and analysis to prevent future incidents.Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement or other incident response organizations, as necessary.

Budget and Resource Management:

Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.Oversee the procurement of technology and services necessary for SOC operations.Ensure adequate staffing and scheduling to maintain 24/7 SOC coverage.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Work with the compliance team to conduct regular audits and risk assessments.Implement risk mitigation strategies to protect against potential threats.Reviewing, Establishing and Refactor polices and framework for the governance of the cloud platform's usageEnsure the platform meets industry standards for security and compliance, such as ISO27001, SOC2, and GDPR

Strategic Planning and Reporting:

Participate in strategic planning for the SOCaaS offering.Prepare and present regular reports on operational status, threats, and trends to senior management and clients (if necessary).Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, design solutions, and create technical architecture and implementation plans

Requirements

Possess the following work experience:

At least 5 years of experience as Operations Manager in any capacity, added advantage if you have experience as SOC Operations Manager / Team Lead.Understanding and Management of platform and SOC systems (including but not limited to SIEM, SOAR, Threat Intel, Identity Management, Patch Management, etc)Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving issues and delivering updates to stakeholdersBasic project management skillsDisciplines in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related qualificationsDemonstrated capacity to learn independently with minimal guidance on new technologiesDemonstrate good verbal and written communication skillsStrong awareness of data security, data governance and performance, with an ability to deliver these key non-functional requirements

In possession of:

Positive working attitude and a team playerPassionate in information security and keen attitude to learnPossession of critical thinking and contextual analysis abilitiesProfessional certificates such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, equivalent or more

Preferred Skills / Qualities

Preferably possess any of the following:

Professional certificates in Security, RedHat, MCSE, or equivalent would be an advantageWorking experience in network firewalls and web proxies would be an advantageWorking knowledge of Rest API is preferredProfessional certificates such as Splunk Admin or equivalent would be an advantageProfessional certificates such as SANS or ISC2 would be an advantage
