Royal Ocean Marine is seeking a Junior Shipbroker to join our client's team. As a Junior Shipbroker, you will focus on the chemical tanker market and play a crucial role in supporting our brokerage activities. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is passionate about the maritime industry and eager to develop a career in shipbroking.
Responsibilities:- Assist Senior Shipbrokers in market research and analysis
- Identify and explore potential business opportunities in the chemical tanker market
- Support in the negotiation and execution of charter contracts
- Maintain relationships with clients, charterers, and other stakeholders
- Provide excellent customer service and assist clients with their chartering needs
- Prepare market reports and presentations
- Stay updated on market trends, industry news, and regulatory changes affecting the chemical tanker market
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field
- Previous experience in a shipbroking role or internship is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the shipbroking industry
- Operation in chemical tankers operation or chartering or shipbrokering is an added advantage
