Job Profile Summary

The selected candidate will join our global family as part of the leading Trade and Commodity Finance (TCF) franchise. You will be based in Singapore, supporting the Team Lead/ Deal Principal in the relationship management of existing clients, and originating new clients for the South Asia region. You will work to establish strong and effective relationships with key internal stakeholders etc. and with our client. 

To succeed in this role you will need to work collaboratively with other members of the department, sharing knowledge and supporting each other in the development and growth of our knowledge base. As part of the TCF global franchise, you will also need to frequently contact TCF teams in other locations and build up your network.

Job Responsibilities

Support Team Lead/Deal Principal in origination of new clients and manage existing TCF clients for the South Asia region.

Structure and execute transactions (TCF, loans and other financial solutions) by collaborating with working closely with key stakeholders ., clients, product, risk, legal, compliance, operations etc.

Work closely with Transaction Management Office (TMO) and operations partners to ensure robust execution of flow trade transactions.

Support the growth of ING’s wallet share of auxiliary businesses (including Financial Markets, Transaction Services (including Trade Finance Service, Working Capital Solutions and Capital Markets Advisory) and our trade digitalization ambitions.

Support the effective implementation of ING’s business strategies and policies for TCF and Asia Pacific to achieve financial and business objectives while ensuring strong adherence to prudent risk management and in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements.

Lead and support discussions on knowledge sharing / transaction review sessions and any ad hoc requirements as required by your manager.

What we’re looking for: 

3 - 5 years prior experience in dealing with commodity clients, preferably in Asia.

Good analytical skills, with keen interest to find out more.

Resourceful and willingness to work with clients / stakeholders for solutions.

Positive attitude in dealing with challenging and difficult situations.
