Marine Fitter

• Install and repair marine equipment and systems, including pumps, engines, and electrical systems.
• Perform general maintenance tasks on marine vessels, including welding, grinding, and sanding.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with marine equipment and systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine how to install or repair equipment.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment onto and off of marine vessels.
• Participate in the safety training program and follow all safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as a Marine Fitter or a related position in the maritime industry will be advantage
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Basic welding, grinding, and sanding skills
• Familiarity with common marine equipment and systems, including pumps, engines, and electrical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Those without experience but with experience hands on on mechanic, or machinery is welcome to apply
