Executive / Senior Engineer (Gas System Control Centre)

What You’ll Do:

Supervises and manages a team of control centre operators to utilise the Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to monitor and control the gas supply across the gas networks to meet the gas demands. Identifies any SCADA alarms or abnormal conditions of the gas networks and takes corrective actions during normal and emergency situations. Carries out analysis of the gas networks and/or gas equipment in order to optimize their performances in accordance with industry best practices. Leads the enhancement projects for GSCC and the SCADA system. Ensures that the GSCC is operated effectively and efficiently and the SOPs for GSCC operations are in place and up to date. Ensures the transportation of Town Gas and Natural Gas supplies are safe, reliable, and efficient. Administers the permit to work system for maintenance works in the gas networks. Analyses the natural gas networks using gas analysis software and proposes operating plan to ensure Shipper’s gas nominations are delivered and minimum network pressures are met. Analyses gas customer consumption pattern and proposes operating plan for field maintenance activities and optimizes the gas network operations. Develops, implements and provides support for new and existing digital tools (PowerApp, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) required for efficient and effective GSCC operations. Prepares gas analysis reports for reporting to Management.  Engages and manages internal and external stakeholders (Gas Industry) under normal and contingency gas events. Performs Standby Duties after office hours whenever required. 


What You’ll Need:

Degree in Mechanical or any other related Engineering discipline from university recognized by Singapore PE Board Minimum 3 years of relevant technical experience Proficient in data analytics and use of digitalization tools for data (Microsoft PowerApp, Microsoft Power BI/BI Pro, Tableau, etc.). Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software.  Knowledge of IT/OT System Implementation, Cybersecurity best practices (ISO 27001, etc.) and communication background is an added advantage. Working experience in gas industry is preferred. Strong communication and coaching skills Strong people management and staff motivation skills Strong project planning, execution, and management skills Possess a valid driving license and having own transport would be advantageous
