Global Business Services provides high quality, scalable and cost-efficient business support services, such as finance, HR and IT, to companies in the Wilhelmsen group. We are looking for an ESG Analyst to join our company. The suited profile’s primary responsibility is to consolidate and analyze data related to Wilhelmsen’s greenhouse gas (“GHG”) inventory across designated sites and business units. This data driven role will support Wilhelmsen’s sustainability strategies and disclosures by ensuring accurate GHG measurements in accordance with recognized standards. There will also be opportunities to work on other strategic projects across the social and governance pillars.

Who you will report to:

The position reports to Director ESG GBS. Other important interrelations include BU ESG leads, WWH ESG leads, GBS Functional Heads and GBS Finance FMs.

What you will be doing:   

GHG Consolidation and Reporting:

Consolidate GHG emissions data reported from sites across the Wilhelmsen network, including energy usage, fuel consumption, business travel and more

Perform quality assurance checks on GHG inventory data to ensure completeness and accuracy

Support the compilation of emissions data and narratives for reporting and external stakeholder disclosures

Apply calculation methodologies aligned with the GHG Protocol

Maintain emissions data management system

ESG Implementation and Performance:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into operations, processes and decision making

Conduct research on emerging ESG regulations, industry best practices and potential improvement initiatives

Support special projects, ad hoc analyses, and continuous improvements in ESG data governance as required

Contributing to strategic ESG projects

This role will also work closely with other business units to embed sustainability principles in operations and workflows. 

What you need to be successful in this role:  

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Accounting, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Business Administration).

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in ESG risk analysis, sustainability consulting, financial accounting, or related fields.

Relevant working experience in the maritime sector is an advantage.

Strong data management, analysis, and reporting skills utilizing Power BI, Excel, databases and visualization tools

Familiarity and application of local and international regulations, standards, frameworks, and guidelines (e.g., ESRS, GHG, ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP etc)

Experience implementing and maintaining management and reporting systems including documentation, tools, and controls

Relevant professional body accreditations are an advantage
