The opportunity


Reporting to the Manager, Local Valuation. The local reporting is a critical element of Manulife's operations in Singapore both from a regulatory reporting perspective as well as successfully managing the reserves and capital for a large insurance organization. The key focus of this role will be providing the analysis, preparing, and reviewing key Local basis reserving and capital valuation deliverables, as well as adhoc projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Drive the success of the organization under the Local reporting basis. Ensuring the Quarterly and Annual Local reporting and statistics reporting are completed on time and with a high degree of accuracy and under proper controls. Working with our audit partners to strengthen and present our controls and reserve/capital decisions. Taking a lead position on implementation of Capital and Reserve related projects, including the reserving methodology, the management of Manual Reserves/model limitations, and transition towards IFRS17 from the Local reporting perspective.

What we are looking for

Driven individual with strong analytical background. Great teammate. Local Singapore basis experience, or capital management experience on a different basis, would be an asset. Demonstrated 3 years of experience in actuarial position. Significant progress on actuarial exams.
