Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy reliable, scalable and secure Data Exploration Platform solutionsParticipate in technical discussions and work closely with stakeholders like product managers, software engineers, data scientistsInfluence decisions and drive improvements with technical leadershipBring industry standards and best practices to the teamUnderstand and identify technology and system pitfalls for the teamMaintain and upkeep deployed solutions, as well as physical and virtual infrastructuresBe the subject matter expert and role model for the teamAdvocate agile and LEAN software development processesInvolve in hiring process to attract and hire capable and motivated engineers

Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in software engineering. Competent in programming languages such as Scala, Python, JavaDeep expertise with at least 3 years of experience in Big Data Platforms. Proven experience with technologies like Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Elastic Stack and KuduProven experience in using DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines effectivelyExperience in one or more areas: APIs, big data engineering and micro-servicesExperience in supporting search workloads in multi-terabytes and billions of recordsPositive attitude, excellent teamwork and communication skillsExperience in managing physical and virtual infrastructuresExperience with cluster management and DevOps tools (e.g. Ansible, Kubernetes)
