Director, ITSS

Director (CIO Office) assists the CIO, manages a team of IT planning and governance professionals and works closely with the various IT, digitalisation and data management teams to provide leadership in the strategic planning, development, implementation and sustenance of IT across whole of A*STAR.

Key Accountabilities

Develop IT strategic plans and assembling a portfolio of IT initiatives that are aligned to A*STAR"s priorities Ensure IT budget marksmanship Ensure robust IT governance through policies, procedures, engagement and compliance management Assemble an effective catalogue of IT services and systems and corresponding service targets, and ensure robust service management

Job Requirements

At least 15 years of working experience, with exposure to multiple IT domains such as government, corporate and research/ academic environments At least 10 years in senior IT leadership roles, with proven ability in IT strategic planning, IT portfolio management, project management, senior stakeholder management and people management/development Good knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity and data security principles and policies in the public sector and research/ academic environment in Singapore Deep and broad understanding of business processes and IT solutions in large organisations, and the ability to plan and budget for IT to meet organisational-specific needs quickly and sustainably Know-how of enterprise-level digital and IT solutions, architecture and frameworks, including technical solutioning and lifecycle costing Proven ability to communicate complex IT challenges effectively
