We work together on daily basis not only internally with IT, R&D and with global innovation team but also with our customers to identify and address customer needs, utilizing strategic design and customer co-creation methods to develop solutions that are both pioneering and practical. Our objective is to drive innovation thereby enabling KONE to maintain its leadership position in the industry.
We are now looking for Strategic Designer, Innovation (based in Singapore) to join the diverse group of professionals from business, design and various technology areas. In this role you would be innovating and designing the future and novel solutions in the domains of environmental sustainability and climate technology in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa area and report directly to the Head of Innovation APM. You would be the local connection point towards other KONE organizations.
As a you will be co-creating, designing and prototyping new businesses, strategies and solutions that enhances and extends customer experiences while creating new opportunities. We are looking for a motivated individual with an experience of design thinking, business -, management consultancy and business strategy. You will be operating in quick learning cycles via experiments; seeking problems that are worth solving and co-creating solutions that are worth building. Welcome to the team
We expect you to have
Passion for innovation and solving problems with futuristic concepts

A university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Business, Technology) in a relevant field, backed by 3+ years of experience in strategic design, where your work with emerging technologies stands out
Empathy towards customers and passion for services which meet customer needs, deliver well-defined outcomes in line with company strategy
Hands-on understanding of design thinking methods, lean start-up, tools and processes, quantitative and qualitative research methods
A proactive and systematic way of working
Ability to experiment concepts through quick and dirty prototyping
Team player mentality, fearless challenger attitude and ability to work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
Proficiency in English as a tool for facilitating workshops and fostering a collaborative work environment
You might have
Passion for environmental sustainability, with a commitment to leveraging thoughtful yet futuristic design and innovative solutions to drive positive change in urban living. Good to have climate technology innovation experience or circular economy and digital services innovation expertise.
Strong understanding of co-creation with customers and end-users
Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, communication and facilitation skills to convince stakeholders with insights
Experience in resource planning and project leading - a history of leading innovation projects from the ground up
Willingness to maximise learning by sharing your experience and expertise within the team members
Working experience collaborating with business stakeholders
Previous experience in working in agile virtual multidisciplinary team in a multicultural setting, excelling in emotional intelligence to foster inspiration, communication and collaboration both remote and face to face
A readiness to travel, showing your commitment to understanding and engaging with diverse business and customer needs and contexts directly.
