Responsibilities
Acts as the Safety Officer of the company. Custodian of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) framework and system; ensure Properties are adhering to the framework. Work with Properties on risk assessments across the departments. Conduct fact-finding after every WSH incident and propose solutions, working through the implementation with the property. Prepare reports, training materials and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) on a regular basis. Keep up to date with relevant legislation and compliance requirements. Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to SWPs, SOPs and internal processes across the properties. Be the champion on WSH matters for Far East Hospitality; working with authorities as and when required. Ad-hoc projects as part of the corporate office support function to Properties.
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Project Management, Hospitality, Tourism Management / Business or any certification in Workplace Safety. Prior working experience in Hospitality Frontline operations of at least 5 years is preferred. Familiar with Workplace Safety & Health framework and procedures or having attained any WSQ/bizSAFE certifications would be a plus. Able to clearly articulate ideas both orally and writing to various stakeholders in the form of reports, memos, training or SOP documents. Comfortable with conducting training and briefings to the operations teams. Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications. Analytical and have a can-do mindset to take on a myriad of tasks and challenges. A team-player, who enjoys working with both Operations and Corporate to achieve common goals.
