About the Role

You will build secure, reliable applications that use AI to improve decision-making, customer insights and operational efficiency across our business departments. Using Python and existing AI models and services, you will take ideas from business problem to live, day-to-day use. This is a hands‑on delivery role, and you will work independently with minimal technical supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with business departments to understand problems, processes, user needs and data, and identify and prioritise suitable AI use cases across customer service, sales, operations, finance, HR and other functions.
Design and develop Python-based internal applications that use AI to solve business problems, for example reading documents (including OCR), answering questions, classifying content, automating work, and analysing customer voice and sentiment to identify satisfaction, frustration, recurring concerns and service trends.
Integrate AI capabilities (LLMs, document intelligence, classification, search) into new and existing business applications through APIs and SDKs, including prompt design, output validation and fallback handling, and build the supporting APIs, databases, user interfaces, access controls and workflow integrations.
Adapt and localise AI applications developed by other MISUMI Group companies for local data, languages, systems, business processes and data-protection requirements.
Take solutions from prototype through user testing and pilot to stable business use, measuring quality by accuracy, false‑positive rates, user acceptance and business outcomes.
Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain applications, including internal web applications on Windows Server/IIS or cloud platforms (e.g. Azure App Service) with SSO/Entra ID, SSL certificates and access control, and prepare documentation, user guides and support procedures.
Apply company requirements for cybersecurity, personal data protection, access management, confidentiality and responsible AI use.
Work with MISUMI Group counterparts, vendors and business stakeholders on digital transformation projects, support user training and adoption, and recommend practical technologies based on business value, risk and cost.

Requirements:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
At least 3 years of hands‑on experience developing software, automation tools or business applications, plus at least 1 year (ideally 1‑2 years) of separate hands‑on experience integrating AI or machine‑learning models into working applications.
Has personally built and deployed at least one application, automation tool or data solution used by real business users or run on real company data
Hands‑on Python experience developing working applications
Experience with REST APIs and external services, and working knowledge of SQL and databases
Able to translate a business problem into requirements, design, testing criteria and a usable application, and to manage delivery through
Strong problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills, and able to resolve technical issues independently
