employees the opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment, gain regional exposure, and build rewarding careers within a stable and growing organization Role Purpose The Assistant Manager, Commercial, will support the development and growth of the Group's Cocoa business business, including cocoa beans, cocoa butter, cocoa powder and cocoa cake. The role will work closely with the Business Head in supporting commercial activities, market analysis, hedging support, contract execution, customer and supplier management, and business development initiatives across international markets. In addition, the role will support trade operations governance, execution discipline, reporting accuracy and cross-functional coordination across selected commodity businesses to strengthen operational controls and business efficiency. Commercial Trading & Business Development
- Support development and expansion of the Cocoa Products business.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing commercial opportunities.
- Support customer and supplier relationship management activities.
- Prepare quotations, pricing analyses, profitability assessments and commercial proposals.
- Participate in customer discussions, supplier negotiations and business development initiatives.
- Support execution of prompt and forward trading opportunities. Market Analysis & Commercial Intelligence
- Conduct market analysis covering cocoa product pricing, futures markets, FX movements and industry developments.
- Monitor market trends, supply-demand fundamentals and processing margins.
- Prepare market intelligence reports and management presentations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning. Hedging, Pricing & Exposure Monitoring
- Maintain and monitor cocoa hedging positions and FX exposures.
- Ensure hedging books and exposure reports are updated accurately and timely.
- Track open pricing contracts and fixation deadlines.
- Support monitoring of trading exposures and risk positions. Contract Management & Trade Execution
- Coordinate execution of purchase and sales contracts from confirmation through settlement.
- Monitor contract balances, shipment schedules and fulfilment status.
- Coordinate trade documentation and contract amendments.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, logistics providers and internal stakeholders. Trade Operations & Governance
- Support operational governance and execution discipline across commodity trading activities.
- Monitor trade capture, contract amendments and approval workflows.
- Coordinate with Treasury, Shipping, Settlement and Finance teams.
- Support implementation of trade controls and process improvements. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, International Trade, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commodity trading, commercial operations, trade execution, trade finance or supply chain management.
- Experience in cocoa products, food ingredients, agricultural commodities or soft commodities will be advantageous. Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset.
- Knowledge of futures, hedging and exposure management concepts.
- Familiarity with trade finance instruments such as LC, DP and prepayment structures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/trading systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
