Product Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary This is an important position within Emerson's Pervasive Sensing organization, one of the leading IIoT solutions providers to the process automation industry. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cybersecurity strategies for our products. In this position, you will work with a wide range of technologies including wireless sensing, wireless communication, networking, web development, and product hardware developed for industrial cloud and on-premises deployments. This position will work to ensure that Emerson's products are securely developed and delivered. This role provides an opportunity for career growth within the exciting space of cybersecurity where you will work on challenging and interesting projects to facilitate our clients' needs and protect them from threats. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Design and develop secure solutions with our product engineersWork with cross-functional teams to maintain security of our existing productsConduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security weaknessesProvide technical analysis of product assessments and articulate impact to end usersMonitor essential cybersecurity product development processesSupport technical cybersecurity certification activitiesPerform and support security scans, fuzz and penetration testing on productsLead threat modeling activities for productsDevelop prototypes to determine feasibility and risks of various security solutionsKeep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies, as well as relevant industry specifications, standards, and frameworks Who You Are You create teamwork, allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. For This Role, You Will Need: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree from an engineering schoolMinimum of 2 years of experience working as a software developer, systems engineer, technical architect, or other related rolesFamiliarity with Web Applications and related technologiesExperience in, or a desire to learn about cybersecurity Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experienceStrong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including knowledge of relevant industry specifications, standards, and frameworksExperience in threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability testingFamiliarity with programming languages such as Java, C++, or PythonKnowledge of Linux operating systems and applicationsFamiliarity with cybersecurity regulations and standards such as IEC, ISO, NIST, and GDPRExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesStrong understanding of network infrastructure design and deploymentExperience with network security monitoring and incident response Our Culture & Commitment to You At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
