Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary Global Chief AI Scientist to provide bold, technically grounded leadership that will position our client as a global AI leader in energy and sustainability. This role requires deep AI expertise combined with strategic foresight to build world class capabilities and deliver transformative business value.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic AI LeadershipYou will provide visionary leadership to propel the organization as a global AI leader in energy and sustainability. Your focus will be on driving breakthrough innovations that create decisive competitive advantages, unique product differentiation, and long term market dominance. You will envision and catalyze new businesses, revenue models, and strategic directions enabled by emerging AI capabilities.
AI Architecture and Infrastructure DesignYou will design and implement cutting edge AI and data infrastructure, including AI architecture, platforms, technology stacks, tools, and governance frameworks that enable scalable enterprise deployment.
Product and Process AI IntegrationYou will lead company wide efforts to embed advanced AI capabilities across the entire product suite and supporting internal processes. This includes core platforms, applications, customer services, and future offerings, ensuring AI drives measurable business impact.
Research, Development, and InnovationYou will identify, lead, and manage high impact R&D, innovation, and incubation initiatives, including development of core AI technologies and proprietary models. You will forge strategic collaborations with universities, research institutions, startups, technology firms, and customers to accelerate innovation and co-develop intellectual property.
Global AI Foresight Council
You will establish and drive a Global AI Foresight Council comprising AI experts and thought leaders. This council will advise on emerging AI trends and disruptions, shape the organization's AI R&D agenda, provide strategic insight, and identify new opportunities.
Capability Building and Centers of Excellence
You will continuously advance deep technology capability in AI and related fields. You will establish and lead AI Centers of Excellence, cultivating a high performance culture of experimentation, innovation, and technical excellence.
Global AI Network Development
You will build and grow a dense global network of AI leaders, researchers, and influencers across academia, industry, and key AI research hubs. You will leverage this network to drive open innovation, collaboration, idea exchange, talent acquisition, and elevate organizational branding in the global AI for Energy ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
Education: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field
Experience: 12 plus years in AI and machine learning, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
Track Record: Proven success deploying AI in real world products, ideally within climate technology, sustainability, or enterprise software environments
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of modern AI techniques including large language models, graph based AI, time series modeling, and optimization algorithms
Ethical and Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of the ethical, regulatory, and societal aspects of AI deployment
Team Building: Demonstrated experience building and scaling high performing, diverse AI teams
Communication: Excellent executive presence with ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences effectively
