**Perhaps this resonates?**:
You have been working for at least a year or two since graduation and during these unprecedented times, you find yourself reflecting more on your career aspirations, and what really drives you and wakes you up in the morning. _You want to use your gifts to contribute to a more just, more sustainable and more hopeful future_.
Or perhaps, you’re fresh from the pool of soon-to-graduate students and while surfing through endless job descriptions, you are looking for something that truly _stands out_. A role beyond a job - something that empowers you to make meaning and create impact.
Perhaps, like us, you see a new array of possibilities arise during this (pan)endemic, particularly in the area of _building and empowering communities_ around us.
If you are still reading this, let’s take our resonance further. Skillseed is growing and we want to meet you.
**ROLE**:
- As our Community Builder in our Experiential Learning Programmes (ELP) Complement, you’ll work closely with the team to:_
Manage and Facilitate our Experiential Learning Courses and Flagship Initiatives
- Head and manage our initiative _Resilience Trails_. This is Skillseed’s flagship initiative with AMKFSC Community Services where we work alongside friends with disabilities, single mothers and individuals from other under-resourced communities to co-create trails in our Guides’ neighbourhoods to bring our participants along a journey of empowerment, empathy and endless possibilities.
- Work closely with our Programme Coordinator to support, nurture and grow our community of Resilience Guides
- Be instrumental in the scaling of the Resilience Trails across the nation in other neighbourhoods and communities, forming strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders, from government agencies to volunteer centres and non-profits
- Oversee and manage grants and other funding related to the Trails
- Labour alongside Management to market the Trails to a range of participants, from corporates to schools
- Partner our Community Guides and partners to refresh, update and innovate around Trail content, routes and learning objectives
- Conduct impact assessments and analyse feedback from participants, Guides and other stakeholders to improve the Trails and for reporting purposes, together with Together with our Programme Coordinator
- Facilitate local workshops and learning journeys for a diverse range of participants, including secondary/tertiary students to adult learners
- Market and manage our existing signature ABCD Walkshops in Singapore, in both in-person and virtual modalities. This will include end to end management of client-partner communications, course logistics, budget, administrative responsibilities and coordination with a variety of stakeholders, including external facilitators, through the sales and implementation life cycle.
Maintain and Build Relationships
- Continuously improve our Community Partner Satisfaction survey and standards
- Support our training team in maintaining our pool of trained facilitators
- Represent Skillseed at conferences, seminars and forums
Achieve Operational Excellence
- Oversee the regular refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our Walkshops and Resilience Trails
- As part of safety and risk management, you will also develop, update and run quarterly Safety and Risk training for all ELP facilitators
Conduct Outreach and Business Development (BD)
- Be an integral part of Skillseed’s business development team to co-create and implement BD strategies to reach out to new client or strategic partners (both locally and globally), specifically for our walkshops and Resilience Trails
**Requirements**:
- Consider the role if you have the following:_
- A degree in any field from accredited tertiary institutions; bonus (but not required) if in education, psychology, sustainable development or equivalent
- Experience and/or interest in at least one or more of the following areas: service learning and facilitation, curriculum development, community development, social causes and youth development
- An active involvement in community (whether personally or professionally)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
We welcome **fresh graduates, or if you have at least 1 to 2 years of working experience.**
Finally, here are some key individual traits that we are sensitive towards:
- Ideally, you are **_independent, driven and a self-starter_**. You naturally conceptualize community initiatives, reach out to partners and seek out innovative ways to connect and support our partners (whether clients or community partners) without needing to be prompted or reminded to do so.
- Ideally, you will be **a “T” in thought and action**. In thought, you’ll be able to see broad and wide, whilst zooming in as needed. In practice, you will have expertise in one area but have the flexibility to collaborate and innovate across disciplines. But at the very minimum,
