- Planning and executing risk-based audit procedures in accordance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA)
- Reviewing the work of audit assistants and semi-seniors, and providing feedback and coaching
- Communicating with clients and external advisors on audit issues and recommendations
- Preparing audit reports and financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
- Managing audit budgets and timelines, and ensuring timely completion of audit engagements
- Keeping abreast of the latest accounting and auditing standards, regulations, and industry developments

To become an audit senior, one usually needs to have a degree in accountancy or a relevant professional qualification, such as ISCA, ICAEW, CPA Australia, or ACCA. Additionally, one should have at least three years of audit experience in Singapore, preferably in a reputable accounting firm. Audit seniors should also possess strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a high level of integrity and professionalism
