Research Director, Public Policy

**Role Description**
Responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability in leading strategic opportunities and up-scale key accounts focusing on achieving their growth and organisational priorities, in turn, ensure and achieve our growth ambition and sustainability.
The Research Director should be a creative thought leader, an integral partner to our clients, bringing decision science solutions that blends data science, brand strategy and experience to build valuable connection in the new ways their business requires today; and will be expected to:
- Act as a key enabler, to inspire new thinking, solutions adoption and cultivate clients’ relationship, elevating as their strategic partner to grow existing client as well as new client project prospect
- Lead efforts across BB strategic service pack to address client business issues, and consequently educate the teams to create values to client’s ongoing project(s)
- Partner with Business Design stakeholders to define client retention strategy and programs to maintain client delight and inspire referrals
- Prepare research proposals and leads proposal plans with the team
- Contribute to the creation of new frameworks and designs to add innovation to the whole business development process and lead client discussions to support a partnership culture
- Monitor resources for live projects, supplementing/modifying teams as required. Helps to conduct short
- and long-range planning to assess resource situation.
- Ensure successful execution of assigned research activities, including identifying require tasks, developing its timelines, resource allocation, ensuring pipelines are met within the agreed timescale as well as follow-up task achievement
- Assess feasibility of project and initiate remedial action, when necessary, with effective insights and actionable solutions with detailed findings of opportunity and/or implications to clients, to communicate business value derived from each engagement to achieve innovation
- Works with team members to actively identify and solve project management related issues before they arise. Works effectively with internal teams and proposes effective solutions
- Develop and coach team capabilities, as well as talent cultivation and succession planning
- Maintain a functional expertise in research marketing, analytical tools, techniques, and other similar requirements

- Drive BB service strategic pillar on Market Research Technology relationships and special initiatives
**Critical Technical, Professional and Personal Capabilities**
- Tertiary qualification in Market Research, Marketing Science, Math, or a related analytical field
- 10+ years of integrated analytic experience within marketing services industry
- Fluency in survey-based research preferred
- Possess abreast knowledge of industry developments (new approaches, technologies etc) and actively recommend to the business/clients
- Demonstrated cross portfolio collaboration
- Strong client relationships and networking skills
- Business savvy and commercial acumen
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment that requires the ability to multi-task and implement high priority initiatives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, planning and project management skills with individuals at both peer and management levels.
- Creative, solution-oriented mindset with drive to see plans through to implementation as well as can deliver content and key messages at scale.

- Able to impart research knowledge across teams via informal and formal training sessions
- Guide team on problem solving skills in collaboration with cross team and propose well-thought-out strategy, incl taking preventive approach to solve the issue at hand
- Guide juniors and ensures quality of all research materials produced by team by building a systematic process
