Senior Data Analyst

Our goal is to empower customers with high-quality items that enhance their lifestyles, and we’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help us understand our data and drive our business growth.

As our Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing our ecommerce and marketing data to help optimize our online store performance, improve our marketing strategies, and drive profitable growth. You'll work closely with various departments including marketing, inventory, and finance, providing actionable insights based on your analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collect, clean, and manage data from various sources
- Monitor and analyze key ecommerce and marketing performance metrics
- Conduct sales, product performance, inventory, and financial analysis
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Optimize conversion rates through A/B testing and other techniques
- Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and channels
- Map and analyze customer journey and behavior of different customer segments
- Regularly report to senior management and provide data-driven recommendations
- Collaborate with various departments to align strategies and share insights
- Ensure all data practices adhere to privacy and security regulations

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an e-commerce setting
- Proficiency in data analysis tools
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other conversion optimization techniques
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Key Daily Deliverables**:
**Data Collection and Management**:

- The data analyst will **collect, organize, and clean data from various sources**.
- This includes **sales data, customer demographic information, product inventory levels, website visitor behavior data, and marketing campaign data.**:

- The data should then be transformed into easily digestible information that can be **used as data-driven, actionable next steps for the different teams.**

**Performance Metrics Analysis**
- The analyst will regularly monitor and **analyze key ecommerce performance metrics** such as, but not limited to:

- Conversion rates
- Average order value (AOV)
- customer acquisition costs (CAC)
- Customer lifetime value (CLV)
- Product performance metrics

**Sales Analysis**
- Understanding why sales are high or low is part of their daily tasks. They'll assess **daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly sales trends**, **identifying patterns and making informed predictions about future sales performance.**

**Product Performance Analysis**
- Conduct deep-dives into the performance of individual products, **identifying top sellers and underperformers.**:

- Analyze **factors like seasonality, customer reviews, price points, and stock availability to understand these trends.**

**Inventory Analysis**
- The data analyst will work closely with the inventory team to **understand stock levels, predict demand, and prevent overstock or stock-out situations.** They'll help **optimize inventory turnover and ensure product availability aligns with demand.**

**Financial Analysis**
- They will help the financial team **understand the financial implications of sales and inventory trends.** This includes cost of goods sold (COGS), gross margin analysis, and profitability analysis of individual products and categories.

Upselling and Cross-Selling Analysis
- The analyst will **identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, based on factors like product affinity** (which products are often bought together), **customer purchasing habits, and customer preferences.**:

- **Conversion Optimization Analysis**

Work with the website development team using A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other techniques, they'll work to **continuously improve website design, product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns to boost conversion rates.**

**Marketing Analysis**
- Marketing Campaign Analysis - The analyst will **assess the performance of all marketing campaigns, including paid advertisements on platforms like Facebook and Google.**:

- They will **evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost per click (CPC), click-through rate (CTR), cost per acquisition (CPA), return on ad spend (ROAS), and overall campaign ROI.**:
