National Gallery Singapore is a leading visual arts institution which oversees the world’s largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian modern art. Situated at the birthplace of modern Singapore, in the heart of the Civic District, the Gallery is housed in two national monuments - City Hall and former Supreme Court - that have been beautifully restored and transformed into this exciting 64,000 square metre venue. Reflecting Singapore’s unique heritage and geographical location, the Gallery aims to be a progressive museum that creates dialogues between the art of Singapore, Southeast Asia and the world to foster and inspire a creative and inclusive society. In 2020, the Gallery was the only museum in Southeast Asia that received a ranking in The Art Newspaper’s annual global survey of attendance at art museums, taking 20th place. It was the first museum in Asia to receive the Children in Museums Award by the European Museum Academy and Hands On International Association of Children in Museums in 2018. The Gallery also won the awards for “Best Theme Attraction” at TTG Travel Awards 2017, “Best Attraction Experience”, “Breakthrough Contribution to Tourism” and “Best Customer Service (Attractions)” at the prestigious Singapore Tourism Awards in 2016 for its role in adding to the vibrancy of Singapore’s tourism landscape.

DESIGNATION : Graphic Designer - Digital/Social Media/Motion/Print (6-month Contract)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to briefs with clarity, creativity and alignment to brand standards and communication objectives.
- Design and produce social media assets with motion graphics/animations for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, digital advertisements, websites and eDMs.
- Ensure consistency in content and compatible designs across all platforms and devices - mobile, tablet and desktop.
- Design and produce brand, marketing and communications materials for print and environmental graphics such as digital/printed Gallery Guide and exhibition/programme brochures.
- Work closely and collaborate with internal and cross functional team members to develop and design effective collaterals that answer to communication objectives.
- Prepare final artwork, liaising with vendors and overseeing production to ensure quality and delivery on schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Digital/Multimedia/Visual Communication or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in agency or in-house Creative/Marketing department.
- Background in branding, marketing communications, art direction and execution with high level of craftsmanship.
- Problem-solving skills and strong understanding of brand standards, typography and photography.
- Ability to contribute and participate actively in the development of marketing collateral and campaigns with the Creative and Marketing departments.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organisation and analytical skills.
- Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills to effectively convey intended message to target audience.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with expert knowledge in Illustrator, After Effects, Animate, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, as well as Microsoft Powerpoint/Office suite.
- Knowledge and familiarity in production and specification guidelines for motion graphics/animation assets for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and digital advertisements.
- Knowledge and familiarity in final artwork preparation for print and out-of-home formats.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Must have strong interest and be in sync with arts, design, cultural and museum trends and developments.
