**About the Company**

Our Client is an omnichannel distributor of products and services in industrial engineering.

**Responsibilities**:
We’re looking for an experienced **Director of Supplier Management** to lead and execute product strategies and supplier engagement in the Asia Pacific region, in order to achieve business objectives.
- Work closely with leadership and regional stakeholders to develop and carry out business plans;
- Provide insights on industry landscape, to identify gaps and opportunities;
- Understand different local markets and ensure that products meet demands of the market;
- Build value proposition and support streamlining customer experience;
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships within the region;
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, to ensure that they are aligned with company’s direction;
- Develop commercial plans and work with internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation;
- Work with inventory team to ensure that inventory levels meet regional demands;
- Collaborate with sales & marketing teams to ensure product performance targets are met.

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary education in a relevant discipline;
- Experience in a senior managing role within supplier management within the region;
- Deep understanding of industrial engineering landscape in the region;
- Strong track record of supplier contracts management;
- Excellent people managing skills, across geographies;
- Good business acumen and ability to deliver results;
- Strong negotiation skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Good organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively with global stakeholders.

**Employment Details***:

- This role may require occasional travel within the Asia Pacific region.
