Head of Fabrication

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and document efficient fabrication processes for crate packaging, modular exhibition walls, plinths, and other related services.
- Train and supervise fabrication staff to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and efficient production techniques.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures throughout the fabrication process to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Collaborate with our expert team in the conservation lab to assist with the conservation of art pieces when required, following established preservation practices.
- Design and create modular exhibition walls and plinths that meet client specifications and allow for flexible art displays
- Learn about art framing techniques and help develop our framing business, with a focus on emulating European framing creativity and quality.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including artists, curators, and other relevant stakeholders, to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the fabrication and framing business by staying updated on industry trends, exploring new opportunities, and proposing innovative ideas.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in precision, fine carpentry, fabrication, art handling, conservation, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in various fabrication techniques, including woodworking packaging and modular construction. Knowledge of art framing techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards throughout the fabrication process.
- Ability to effectively communicate with different stakeholders, including staff, clients, and artists.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve fabrication and conservation challenges effectively.
- A passion for art and a creative mindset to contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and evolving environment, adapting to changing priorities and project requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and foster positive working relationships.
- Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
