**What the role is**

You will be joining the Procurement team at MCI.

**What you will be working on**

**Job Description**:

- Plan and manage all procurement activities conducted by the unit and provide procurement consultancy to User Divisions and Management, ensuring that government procurement guidelines are adhered to and value for money purchases are attained for the Ministry.
- Manage all procurement activities (including GeBIZ transactions and preparation of all procurement related documents) and internal procurement procedures/processes.
- Procurement desk officer for a few Divisions and provides support and advice to these Divisions in their procurement matters.
- Manages the entire procurement process for the Divisions under officer’s purview, from review of documents to preparing submissions to seek approval for tender award to post-award contractual management (including contract variations, renewal, early termination, debarment and non-performance).
- Reports and provides Divisions with advice and support in managing issues/irregularities that arise during the contract management stage, as part of MCI’s Contract Management Framework.
- Ensures proper and accurate documentation is put in place for all quotation/tenders.
- Provides advice to Tenders Boards, Divisions and Management in procurement policies and procedures.
- Performs data analytics on procurement data to gain insights and uses the information to improve procurement processes
- Reviews internal guidelines/SOPs/templates to ensure the key Procurement principles are met
- Be involved in procurement automation projects e.g. RPA and other projects to deliver value to our internal stakeholders

**What we are looking for**

Job Requirements:

- Background preferably in Business, Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Public Service.
- Knowledge in Government Procurement Instruction Manuals, GeBIZ and GMC
- Strong analytical skills
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Attention to details
- Able to plan ahead and prioritize tasks
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and initiative
- Able to work independently and see through projects to completion
- Relish the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and can perform under pressure
- Experience in procurement analytics and automation projects will be an advantage
