**Octagon Advisors Pte Ltd **is a consulting firm specialising in risk management for banks and non-bank financial institutions. The range of risk management services that we offer to our clients include credit, market, interest rate, liquidity and operational risk management, and those relating to various standards issued by the Basel Committee of Banking Supervision.

In addition to financial institutions in Singapore, we provide consulting services to those in countries such as Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Myanmar.

We are seeking individuals who wish to pursue a career in risk management consulting to join our team of risk management specialists. As many of our clients are overseas, the job requires frequent travel in the region. The job descriptions and the skill sets we are looking for are provided below.

**1. Job Requirements**:
**(i) Client Engagement**:
Assist in conducting workshops and discussion sessions with the clients as part of a consulting team.

**(ii) Documentation**:
Develop detailed documentation for the clients, including policies, guidelines, procedures and any other business requirements.

**(iii) Analysis and Recommendations**:
Function as part of a team that performs fact finding, problem identification, in-depth analysis and development of recommendations to address specific issues encountered by the clients and/or to strengthen the state of risk management and control of the clients. These may relate to various areas in banks and non-bank financial institutions, including risk, credit, ESG and climate risk, compliance, governance, operations, treasury, wholesale banking, retail banking and internal audit. Our advisory services are benchmarked to market best practices and latest regulatory requirements, where applicable.

**2. Experience / Skills Required**:
We are looking for fresh graduates, or professionals with relevant experience of up to 2 years, in one or more of the following areas:

- Risk management.
- Compliance.
- Technology and Operations.
- External Audit.
- Internal Audit.

**3. Personal Qualities**:

- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand issues and present solutions clearly.
- Good presentation skills.
- Proactive and resourceful mindset.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively with clients of all levels.
- Ability to work as part of a team to meet project requirements.
