**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Sr. Supervisor, Materials is responsible to ensure the planning and purchasing for all materials and supplies to meet the operational needs of Quasar Singapore. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining valid production schedules from the demand forecast to meet customer requirements while utilizing resources efficiently. This role will include close co-ordination with suppliers. It will require close communications with process engineering, purchasing, demand and supply and supplier quality.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Train, motivate, and manage personnel within the materials group, buyers and planners.
- Participate in the preparation of the master production schedule.
- Execute the material ordering and planning to meet the master schedule and escalate to Management when there are issues to meet plan.
- Responsible for sizing up materials clear to build and capacity to provide delivery commit to customer services/ program.
- Responsible for Aging Inventory/ Excess & Obsolence/Day of Supply/Customer & Supplier On Time Deliveries metrics.
- Support monthly report of MOR of department KPIs.
- Develop and implement systems that ensure a smooth and reliable flow of materials from vendors through the production cycle.
- Update and Maintain Planning and Purchasing SOPs.
- Responsible for Health & Safety within assigned areas to include accident investigation and corrective action.
- Maintain and comply with ISO13485, GMP and FDA regulations.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Supervise buyers and planners.**SUPERVISORY AUTHORITIES**:

- To enforce compliance to EHS management system and relevant legal and other applicable EHS requirements.
- To stop any unsafe work or negligent act that may endanger personnel.
- To investigate and analyse any incidents that occurred within his/her charge.
- To feedback concerns and areas for improvements.

**Education/Experience and Qualification**
- Management or technical diploma degree, BS preferred, with 3-5yrs in a planning supervisory role in a high-volume production environment, preferably in Medical Device Manufacturing.
- Past Experience working as a Planner taking care of Materials and Production Planning will be critical.
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Knowledge of GMP, JIT, SPC, TQC concepts and procedures required
- Familiar with LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Computer literacy required. Familiar with Microsoft office software.
- Knowledgeable in writing procedures and GMP requirements
- Knowledge of GMPs, ISO 9001, ISO13485 and the Medical Device Directives;

**Work Environment**

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Controlled Environment (Class 100K cleanroom) and office area.
