Singapore EMA Energy Market Authority Full time

The Policy and Planning Department is responsible for developing EMA’s strategic policies to advance our strategic goals of forging an energy system that is secure, cost-effective, environmentally sustainable and dynamic.

As part of a team of analysts, you will play a key role in driving EMA’s energy policy development and review processes. You will drive policy coherence and alignment, assess interlinkages and interdependencies across policies. You will have ample opportunities to participate in policy innovation and thought-leadership to champion positive changes for Singapore’s energy landscape. You will be exposed to the latest in energy trends and are expected to actively contribute insights to shape energy policy. You will work with data to derive insights to guide your recommendations.

Job Requirements:

- Keen interest in energy issues and public service
- Analytical and critical thinking skills, with capability to weigh trade-offs/implications between policy choices and make strategic recommendations
- Competency in working with datasets and data tools (e.g. Excel modelling) to support policy analysis and recommendations
- Competent communication skills to present, convince and inspire
- Creativity to think outside of the box on solutions to address challenges, willingness to go into the details
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with stakeholders
- Self-motivated, effective team player
