[What the role is]
TRANSPORT PLANNER
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of a dynamic team of transport planners who plan will be given the unique opportunity to shape the future of transportation for a car-lite Singapore through the strategic transport thrusts of the Land Transport Master Plan. This will include identifying and developing new road projects and schemes. You will design and supervise data collection activities, analyse and interpret survey results, develop transport network improvements proposals, forecast travel demand, assess community benefits and determine economic performance. You will also work closely with other Government agencies to develop integrated transport landuse plans and provide transportation planning advice on future land use development initiatives.
[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in any qualifications, preferably in Civil Engineering, Town/Urban Planning, Geography or a related discipline
- Preferably with at least 3 years' of experience in road, rail and/or bus planning. Those with more relevant experience, a good understanding of transport/town planning principles and strong analytical capabilities will be considered for senior positions
- Experience in land use planning, transport planning and transport modeling simulation techniques, and knowledge of modeling using EMME, VISSIM/VISUM and or SIDRA or other similar transportation models will be added advantages
- Excellent communication and writing skills
