- Purpose Driven Position_

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering Specialist is responsible for the efficient deployment and seamless operation of CarbonCure’s hardware systems. This role requires close collaboration with internal Program Management and Sales teams, and directly with customers, to ensure hardware is accurately specified, configured, deployed, installed, commissioned, and maintained for optimal performance and mutual success. The Engineering Specialist will also proactively identify operating requirements for new markets and drive product and process improvements based on field experience.
- What you'll be doing_

**Global Installation & Commissioning**:

- Lead and oversee the implementation of hardware installations at concrete plants in primarily the APAC region, ensuring timely, accurate setup according to company standards and client requirements.
- Communicate with clients to obtain their scope of work, specify a system for production, install the system and commission the system.
- Coordinate with CO2 tank suppliers as required to ensure seamless installation and/ or problem solving as it relates to system operations.
- If applicable, direct remote installation and commissioning, guiding contractors, customers, and on-site staff.
- Collaborate closely with internal Program and Account Management teams to align hardware installation timelines with project schedules.

**Maintenance & Support**:

- Manage a comprehensive hardware maintenance program, including regular inspections, troubleshooting protocols, and preventive procedures.
- Provide prompt and effective response to hardware issues reported by clients or field technicians, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
- Resolve down systems in the specified regions.
- Perform remote recalibrations on a variety of systems to ensure they are running smoothly and effectively.
- Meticulously plan customer trips to ensure all hardware systems are operating on the latest software and are routinely inspected.
- Manage third-party partnerships with equipment responsibilities as required, which includes training and ongoing collaboration.

**Process Improvement & Reliability**:

- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating existing processes, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing necessary changes.
- Identify requirements for new markets, ensuring all design and operational considerations are adequately addressed.
- Proactively analyze reliability trends and systemic issues, initiating design modifications and implementing robust change management processes.

**Communication & Documentation**:

- Inform internal teams of pertinent customer or supplier relationship developments and any hardware implications.
- Ensure system and installation tracking tools and records are accurately maintained and up to date.
- Provide timely leadership updates and respond to requests as required.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to all required compliance and safety programs at customer sites.
- What you'll need to succeed_
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a closely related highly technical discipline (e.g., Mechatronics, Controls Engineering). Alternatively, a college degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) in Engineering Technology (e.g., Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering) will also be considered.
