Introduce Soitec and context of the position:

**Purpose**

Based on its unique and patented SmartSiC technology, Soitec’s new silicon carbide (SiC) substrates are designed to improve the performances of power electronics devices and boost electric vehicles’ energy efficiency. Soitec has released its first 200mm silicon carbide SmartSiC wafer which enabled to demonstrate the quality and performance of a 200mm SmartSiC wafer.

A collaboration has naturally started in Singapore with IME, the Institute of Micro Electronics, funded by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (“A*STAR”). IME is starting an 8-inch SiC pilot line, and the objective of the IME-Soitec partnership is to develop SiC epitaxy and MOSFET fabrication processes for Soitec’s Smart-Cut SiC substrates.

Joining the IME-Soitec Team, as a SiC Epitaxy Scientist, you will actively participate to the development of the Epitaxy process baseline.

What does the job consist?:
**Responsibilities**
- Take part in collaboration program with IME-Soitec teams in Singapore and in France.
- From the technical strategy, define together with IME the development roadmap.
- Follow the progress to optimize the Epitaxy process baseline.
- In interface with IME, coordinate the monitoring of the experimentation wafers.
- Participate with IME-Soitec team to the wafers characterization.
- Propose technical solutions to failure modes encountered during the development phase.
- Capitalize on collected information.

Requirements & qualifications:
**Job requirement**
- With a material science grade, you have a multiple years experience in the field of SiC epitaxy with a good knowledge of microelectronics (CMOS technology, semi-conductor materials ).
- You have an experience in setting and optimization of tools and processes.
- You have a good communication level in the context of research collaboration.
- You have a good ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems in a complex environment.
- You are confident in professional discussion.
- You are open-minded and literature oriented.
