Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in the the news and publishing industry or in business development/partnerships with news publishers and/or nonprofits.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in business development or partnerships with news publishers and/or nonprofits.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments and working in the news/publishing industry.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Understanding of the business and public policy landscape in region.
- Ability to build trusted relationships, influence key decisions, and/or drive urgency on key priorities.
- Excellent communication skills (e.g., presentations, briefing docs, etc.).

**About the job**:
In this role, you will help shape the News initiative in the region through our scaled programs and events, working closely with regional and country teams. You will collaborate with internal teams including Policy, Marketing, Partnerships, and Communications. This will include supporting efforts to build and grow our engagements with leading news associations, developing sponsorship/partnerships plans, and prioritizing the core News goals.

- Accelerate the digital transformation of existing news organizations.
- Set news organizations on a path to sustainability.
- Manage misinformation and support media literacy.
