Quality Engineer

Location: Asia Pacific, Singapore, Singapore- Ref: JOHNCRANEAPAC01632- Division: John Crane- Job Function: Reg Affairs Quality Assurance**Job Description**:
In this role, you will work closely with various internal stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure that quality documentation and inspections are completed on time and in accordance with client-approved Inspection Test Plans (ITP), approved procedures, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of quality control systems and identifying opportunities for improvement.

To be successful in this position, you must have strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You should have experience in implementing QJSE management systems and be familiar with relevant QHSE standards and regulations. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate quality issues and resolutions to stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Participates in project kick-off meeting and prepares necessary quality documentations (Quality plan, ITP, WPS/PQR, NDT procedures, FAT procedures, MRB index, others) for client approval timely,
- Ensure WPS and personnel are qualified in accordance with the requirements, Ensures all measuring equipment are calibrated and calibration records are maintained,
- Perform Inspection for Incoming, Stage Wise, Final, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & review reports in accordance with client approved Inspection Test Plan (ITP), approved procedures & FAT procedure,
- Liaise with customer or their representative for their stage wise inspection related to customer Witness / Hold points in accordance to agreed / approved ITP,
- Initiates and manage any non-conformances in eQMS (Internal / External Customer Complaints), also Monitor and follow-up outstanding NCR with relevant stakeholders,
- Raise NCs when a supplied product does not meet the requirements, also Monitor and follow-up outstanding NCs,
- Manage and compile project final documentation progressively as per agreed MRB index throughout project execution, for this need to liaise with various internal stakeholders (procurement, engineering, production), suppliers and sub-contractors to enable timely submission of their final documents/certificates for client final documentation, do a review of MRB (manufacturing record book) for accuracy and completeness prior to client submission,
- Support on arranging & coordinating customer trainings for Singapore's Global Training Center,
- Supports internal audit program, Continuous improvement programs, part measurement programs using traditional & advance instruments or similar programs arranged by department,
- Responsible for general facilities matters. Liaise and coordinate with contractors to ensure work is performed timely without compromising safety and quality,
- Initiate purchase requisitions required for department and general facilities,
- Maintain site quality, safety, environmental data, Log in Incident reports and monthly HSE data into Prism,
- Work independently and to assist quality manager in any other tasks assigned.

The Individual
- Degree in Engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience in a setup carrying out Fabrication / Manufacturing of Pressure Piping / Pressure Vessels or Skid Based Systems,
- Knowledgeable in ASME, AWS D1.6, API682, API692, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NORSOK, NACE etc. and Lean Six Sigma will be an added advantage,
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, Strong organizational and problem-solving skills,
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
