The Investment Services Private Market (ISPVM) Department provides strategic investment services and financial management for GIC’s Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Cross-Strategy investment groups. Leveraging data and emerging technologies, the department oversees the development and implementation of business infrastructural plans and operating models that play critical roles in scaling GIC’s alternative asset investments globally. This covers deal structuring, due diligence and closing, financial operations across GIC’s assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

The Multi-Strategies Transaction Management team plays a vital role to provide investment deal closing support to cross private markets investment strategies through a scalable transaction execution platform.

The role of a Transaction Manager is to work closely with the investment deal team and various functional teams to ensure smooth and prompt closings of private markets investments. This entails clear and tactful communication with various stakeholders and elite organisational skills with superb attention to details to drive our execution capabilities.

**What will you do?**
- Partner with deal team to execute timely and efficient deal closings
- Be the middle office key contact for external counterparties (e.g., counsels, custodians, agents), and internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, tax, legal). Ensure accurate and prompt information/ documentations exchange, and deal executions include but not limited to KYC, investment structures, board resolutions, regulatory approvals, documentations’ signatories, funding, etc
- Be the go-to resource for queries on investment process, compliance policies, and investment procedures including advisory on deal approval process, closing requirements and timeline
- Work closely with the Private Equity and Real Estate Transaction Management team. Conceptualize and identify gaps in current workflow and take a proactive approach to drive operational front-mid-back process improvements and efficiencies and reduce operational risks.
- Drive the successful execution of the transaction management platform (process and system) across the regions

**What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?**
- Degree in finance or business with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in private sector investing
- Deal execution experience in private markets and awareness of private investments’ documentations, company secretarial practices, and the nuances of transactions are preferred
- Detail oriented analytical thinker, with creative problem-solving capabilities to effectively manage complex situations promptly
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills with the sense of urgency to manage multiple tasks and deals at any given time
- An inquisitive self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, cross-regions multicultural environment
