**Description**

As a Color Technician, you will own the responsibilities of colour matching and quality checks of various coatings products. The technician will establish the formula using a spectrophotometer or colour match techniques, blend and spray the colour match and perform corrections. Have the ability to identify and manage colour shifts in along with associated colour problems.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Knowledge and adherence to PPG policies with adherence to local EHS regulations.
- Handle raw material, weighing balances and other manufacturing equipment, including basic warehouse handling equipment such as manual pallet truck as part of the manufacturing activities requirement.
- Manufacture finished goods in accordance to specific process steps and standard operation procedures (SOP) in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Perform assigned manufacturing tasks to produce high quality products under limited supervision and instruction.
- Perform to meet daily production target and capable of responding to overtime when vital.
- Act as an oversight for product quality on both raw materials and finished goods and identify any issues that may affect production.
- Perform packing and palletising of finished goods, both manually and through use of machineries.
- Participate as a core participant in Productivity Improvement Team and practice efficiency/process improvement methodologies such as 5S and Kaizen.
- Perform cross-functional production activities when tasked
- Adherence to maintenance schedules for coatings laboratory equipment.
- Liaison with operations manager with respect to production schedules.
- Practical knowledge on the usage of the colour spectrophotometer.

**Qualifications**
- NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent.
- Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Words, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good interpersonal skills - able to work well with all levels
- Self-Motivation and self-starting
