The **Senior Director of Finance JAPA** located in Singapore will provide leadership to the finance organization of Leica Microsystems legal entities within the JAPA region, managing legal entity financial accounting and reporting for reporting units: Leica Microsystems (LMS) and Leica Biosystems (LBS). In addition, serve as Finance partner to the VP/GM of the Leica Microsystems JAPA region. This finance position is broad in scope, combining together management of fiscal operations and business partnership.

Yoo will lead the following functions:

- FP&A team supporting the LMS business in forecast, budget, strategic plan, and decision support to drive higher sales and margins and inventory turns;
- Financial Accounting team to drive timely and accurate financial reporting, meet receivables collection targets, and meeting all audit requirements;
- Compliance team to ensure all Finance, Tax, SOX programs are compliant; d) the Financial Operations team to provide accurate and efficient processes for payroll, expense reimbursement and payables.
- Provide analytical support to senior members of the organization and help shape strategy to drive strategic initiatives.
- In addition, provide leadership to the finance function to manage continuous improvement of key performance indicators.
- Deploy to finance processes the lean manufacturing tools, practices, and culture that are the foundation of the company’s business process improvement system, The Danaher Business System (DBS).
- One year success factors include: Gain credibility with the CFO, senior management team, and peers.
- Review the current state of the finance function, taking the first one to two months to understand what is in place, deciding what needs to change and then driving quickly to implement improvements within the first six months.
- Quickly gain an understanding of the business and drive improvements in margin while enhancing predictability and transparency.
- Have a strong focus on compliance.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Act as Finance Business Partner for the VP Commercial JAPA, specifically provide pro-actively meaningful reports and financial analysis (e.g. variance analysis) to identify optimization potential regarding processes and cost to drive improvement of results.
- Responsible for modeling for strategic planning cycle, budgeting, forecasting and actual reporting.
- Set and drive KPI’s (including leading indicators). Lead and manage all financial activities within the JAPA Commercial Organization.
- Improve the quality and timeliness of management reporting and analytics.
- Increase the accuracy and efficiency of field finance and accounting operations.
- Implement and Improve Accounting Compliance and Internal Controls.
- Manage the continued development of month-end reporting, including key metrics reports and ad hoc financial analysis as required to support the continued development of long-term strategic initiatives and business plans.
- Oversee the continued improvements of accounting and financial processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output.
- Ensure that all relevant Danaher accounting and reporting policies are followed within LMS. Make sure we always act compliant.
- Interface with auditors both external and internal as required.
- Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise support to business partners.
- Provide direction, training and career development opportunities to the finance team and develop high caliber staff.

**YOUR PROFILE**
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in progressively more responsible financial functions
- Experience in working in a global, matrix organization with a proven ability to build and leverage networks within an organization.
- 5+ years of experience in supervising a large finance organization
- Experience in Life Science and medical device industry, international business, public accounting and financial reporting experience preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP, SOX Compliance, other Financial legal compliance regulations required
- Large scale ERP experience with SAP experience helpful
- Nachelor’s Degree in Accounting or
