The gallery sitter will be responsible for welcoming visitors, taking attendance, providing helpful information regarding exhibitions and programmes to visitors, and opening and closing the galleries.

**Job Description**:

- Be punctual and professional;
- Be able to stand and remain alert while visitors are in the gallery;
- Enforce gallery rules in a courteous manner;
- Assist in collecting information about visitors;
- Work occasional special events (opening receptions, auctions).
- Be knowledgeable about the artists and exhibition on view;
- Answer visitors’ questions regarding the gallery / exhibitions;
- Provide a friendly and welcoming environment;
- Be prepared to personalise connections for visitors through one-on-one or group conversation.

**Requirements**:

- Reliable and able to commit on weekends and public holidays
- Good communication skills
- Approachable and enthusiastic
- Able to follow and implement gallery protocols
