As an AVP - CDD Manager, you are the Onboarding Approver and lead the forefront, championing meticulous Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Compliance. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining regulatory compliance, preventing financial risks, and contributing to a seamless customer experience.
In this position, your responsibilities encompass advising the business and fostering collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams to review and approve CDD documentation and customer profiles meticulously.
You will perform independent and comprehensive reviews, including plausibility checks, Clients' Sources of Wealth, and Sources of Funds verification. You will delve into the intricacies of customer data during periodic reviews, uncovering potential risks and red flags and taking appropriate action as needed. You will safeguard against potential threats and ensure alignment with industry regulations and internal policies.
To succeed in the role, you should have at least 7 years of experience within the financial services, fortified by an excellent understanding of the Client Review and CDD procedures. You have a detail-oriented mindset and are knowledgeable and sensitive to the risks such as PEP, Sanctions, and reputational risks) and suspicious activities, especially within Private Banking clients. Your grasp of regulatory frameworks, including MAS, HKMA, and other esteemed bodies like FATF and Wolfsberg, is a big plus.
