PublicPolicyAsia Advisors is looking for a part-time Research Associate to undertake news analysis and dedicated work on public policy issues in ASEAN/Asia.

**Responsibilities**:
The RA will have the following responsibilities:
1. Collate news and conduct research on current affairs topics on ASEAN, Asia and the food and agriculture sector.

2. Assemble relevant information and materials from a wide variety of sources, both primary and secondary, and synthesize the materials.

3. Write policy briefs, policy papers and academic reports.

4. Support the publication of journal articles and op-ed pieces, including proofreading.

5. Produce research findings in various statistical formats and creatively represent the data in different charts, tables, and graphs.

6. Organise, update, and maintain work documents for senior consultants.

7. Offer research and administrative support for other projects as requested.

Qualifications:
(Essential)

1. Excellent oral and written English and communication, and proofreading skills

2. Ability to work independently and remotely as a part of the team demonstrating initiative and reliability. Must be result-oriented.

3. Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail required.

4. Knowledge about ASEAN community building, processes and politics.

5. Preferably, fresh Master's or Bachelor's (Hons) Degree graduates or students in public policy, political science, economics, etc.

(Desirable)

1. Relevant research experience for 3 years.

2. Good knowledge of library and online research resources with the capacity to conduct independent research with minimum supervision.

3. Working knowledge of software such as STATA, NVivo, Deedose, Zotero, etc.
